My Approach to Therapy
My approach to therapy is grounded in empathy, curiosity, and respect for each person’s lived experience. I aim to create a calm and supportive space where people can explore what they are going through and begin moving toward greater clarity and balance.
I am a Registered Clinical Counsellor with a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and a Master’s in Counselling. My work integrates academic training and clinical experience to provide an evidence-informed and thoughtful approach to therapy.
My practice is integrative and eclectic, meaning therapy is not limited to a single method. Instead, I draw from a range of established therapeutic approaches depending on what may be most helpful for the individual. This may include elements of cognitive behavioural therapy, mindfulness-based practices, trauma-informed care, motivational interviewing, narrative therapy, person-centred therapy, and solution-focused approaches.
Many people seek counselling when they are navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship challenges, or major life transitions. Therapy can offer a space to better understand these experiences while developing healthier ways of coping, communicating, and relating to oneself and others.
I aim to create an environment where people feel comfortable speaking openly and honestly. When people feel heard and understood, it becomes easier to reflect, gain perspective, and begin making meaningful changes.
I offer counselling in both English and Farsi and welcome individuals from diverse cultural backgrounds. I provide in-person counselling in Port Coquitlam and serve clients across the Tri-Cities, including Coquitlam and Port Moody, as well as secure online counselling throughout British Columbia.
My goal is to combine psychological insight with genuine care to support individuals in developing greater self-understanding, resilience, and lasting personal growth.
